To Our Dear Hive Tribe,
As you know, we closed YogaHive on Saturday, March 14, with the full intention of opening the studio again in April. As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads and continue to affect businesses locally and globally, we have come to realize that this crisis is far from over. As you may know, Yoga Studios, as businesses, are regarded as category 4 ‘high risk’, by the government’s Inter Agency Task Force (IATF). Unfortunately, this means we are requested to remain closed until the end of the General Community Quarantine (GCQ), which has been penciled in to be at some time in September. Understandably this cannot be taken as a firm commitment by the government due to so many unknowns regarding controlling the spread of COVID-19 and there is a likelihood is that the GCQ will stretch even longer. We regret that our financial situation is such that it is impossible for us to sustain an empty physical practice space for that long.
Thus, we are sharing today, with heavy hearts, that we must close the studio permanently.
We started this diverse and inclusive community in 2016 with the intention of creating a different kind of yoga studio experience led by passionate teachers of quality and dedication to practice. We are proud of our efforts at YogaHive to fulfill this goal, and grateful that we were able to walk this path together—and, especially, with all of you.
Many of you have considered YogaHive as their 2nd home and as we look back over our years of sharing YogaHive, we are humbled by and filled with a deep appreciation for the many strong connections we’ve made. May the memory and resonance of the positive powerful energy we’ve shared be with us always.
Some of you still have unused portions of existing packages with YogaHive. We will prioritize the repayment of student packages pro rata for any unused portions, as we understand that financial difficulties may have arisen for you also on a personal level. However, please also understand that YogaHive is already closing down and as such has a large number of debts outstanding, so any claims for refund after June 19 may no longer be paid, due to lack of funds, as we are required to settle other debts from that point. For those of you that do not wish to claim, thank you so much for your understanding, it is very much appreciated.
If you need a pro rata refund, please send an email to email@example.com no later than 11am on Friday, June 19 to initiate the process.
For those who may still have personal items in the studio, we very much wish to get these back to you and will be holding open hours for you to come to the studio to pick them up on Friday, June 19 at 10:00am – 12:00nn. We ask that you do not come if you have any symptoms of any kind; please send a healthy proxy who has not been in contact with you, but who can get your items safely for you. If you cannot get your items at this schedule, please send an email to arrange an alternative. All items that will not be picked up after June 19 will be properly disposed.
